TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Full gold.On the Nose: Dried fruit, pastry, vanilla, leather and hint of tobacco.
Palate: Sweet pepper to leads to salty maritime notes.
The Finish:Tangy with lingering heat provides a warm long finish.
Nilles –
I like it much better than the Auchnagie.
Very pleasing drop, which I certainly did not have for the last time in the glass! Very beautiful! 🙂
Nose
First and foremost: green pears, grapes.
Apple pie with sweet cake crumble
fresh dough, very mild nose, no tingling
Taste
Fruity and sweet, with surprising, clear peppery notes
very balanced, yet the apparent contradiction between sweet fruit and white pepper
Finish
Medium-length finish, which initially rather flat, but then very quickly pepper-spicy builds and then it lasts quite a long time. Very pleasant course, the pepper is unobtrusive, but still present a few minutes in the background …
Rosebank88 –
Nose
Emphasizes malty and nutty. Almond purée, some candied orange and in the background flower honey, vanilla and ginger. Is getting fresher and hay-like. Maybe also porridge and hot milk?
Taste
Surprisingly gushy start with ginger, malt, candied lemon and orange, blossom honey, almonds and slightly floral notes. Later peppery but with oily-sooty heaviness.
Finish
Long, spicy, malty, hay and a hint of mint.
