Jericho Christmas Pudding is a limited edition blended malt whisky for the festive season. Part of the Jericho range, it’s styled on the lost distillery in Nether Jericho, Aberdeenshire, which closed in 1913 due to its isolated location. This whisky is not chill filtered.

This seasonal release is a variation of the popular Jericho malt, which is part of the Archivist collection. With hints of orange zest and rich marzipan, spice and dried fruits, the blend encompasses the comforting flavours of the much-loved Christmas pudding in each scrumptious sip.

A full-bodied, richly aromatic spirit, the whisky makes for the perfect dram to warm the soul during the chilly festive season. Beautifully presented in a magical yuletide themed red and silver bottle, the blended malt is the ideal quirky stocking filler or memorable gift for a whisky aficionado.

Description of Taste
Tasting note A richly aromatic nose starts with good maturity offering remote hints of natural honey with dried fruits, prunes and raisins, followed by orange zest and suggestions of rich marzipan. The palate is full-bodied and satisfyingly oily which provides a rich mouth coating. There are hints of heated rubber and a return of ripened dried berries, prunes and savory depth before lifting into lighted vibrancy with, raspberries and gentle spice. Towards the end, there is a sublimely balanced burst of sweetness and tart notes. The finish is long without overpowering the length delicate notes, warming and dry with more sweetness than it’s sibling Jericho Archivist. Spice and dried fruits hold on throughout the finish. A big indulgent dram best savored with friends throughout the most special day which won’t be overpowered by rich food and retains a vibrancy and balance rarely experienced.

Nose
Cream, ripe strawberries, red grape, malt, vanilla, and spice.

Taste
Clear and crisp with sherry spice up front with red fruit reemerging on the palate. More spice and not as sweet as the nose suggests.

Spice and some mild bitterness with a medium finish.
